I am making this blog of mine private and confidential due to several personal reasons in a couple of days, but I might open it again for public viewing later in the future. Only a select people can have access to it.
So, if you want to be one of the few (walaupun selalu rasa macam membebel sorang2 je), leave me a comment with your e-mail address. Thank you. Even 1, even 10 (perasan), even 100 (haha lagi la perasan), leave a comment.
p/s: I am so making myself a bib necklace. I just have to get some fabric and beads and stuff. Oh, and learn how to sew.
Note: All photos are taken from their respective owners on etsy. Some are copyrighted (not that I'm gonna be able to reproduce a similar-looking one myself, considering how I can't even sew!)
I should be studying for the Management midterm paper tomorrow, but.. yeah, I'm a total procastinator. Maybe I'll start in an hour or two. Or ten? Haha. Actually, the real reason why I'm writing this entry (after what might seemed like a million days in blog time, but is actually only 10 days) is because I wanna share this guy with you, erm, guys.
Introducing.. Kwon JiYong a.k.a G-Dragon!
This is one super-talented guy. He's a rapper, singer, dancer, composer and producer in Big Bang, the Korean boyband. Their songs are awesome, and their performances are bangin'! In fact, all I ever listen to these days are their songs from all their albums and EPs, Korean and Japanese (yes, they can sing in Japanese. And English too, although not that many songs are sung in English, 'tho). No Western artists for me, for now. Backstreet Boys, Joshua Radin and Copeland can take the backseat for a while. It doesn't matter that I don't have an inkling what Big Bang is singing about at first, but Google is your best friend here!
JiYong oppa (although he's 21 this year/22 in Korean age, and I'm 22 :P) is a natural-born leader. He's fierce, he's funny, he's nice. He's all sugar AND spice. He's everything awesome rolled into one perfect person! He can be goofy, he can be serious. He likes it when people/fans call him 'Kwon Leader', and nobody can say he's tooting his own horn, because he is indeed a leader, and a determined one at that! He keeps everyone else in check. When at work and the atmosphere gets too playful, he brings back seriousness into the scene. When the atmosphere gets too somber, he injects some fun into it. He balances everything out.
His fashion sense is always evolving, changing every minute. One minute he's cute and preppy, the next he's all gangsta'd-up. Or even just plain weird. But then again, this is G-Dragon we're talking about. He never stays with one style. He's always changing, like Madonna, but the only difference is, it works everytime for him!
Have a look at SOME of his hairstyle changes in the past 3 years since Big Bang first debuted. If he ain't no chameleon, I don't know what you call it!
G-Dragon has been in K-pop industry forever. He has been trained by YG Entertainment since he was 12. He had worked with many YG Family members, including the hip hop group Jinusean. And recently, he just came out with his solo album, Heartbreaker. True in Kwon Leadah's way (that wasn't a typo), he reinvented himself, yet again. This time, he went PLATINUM BLONDE. Instant love, y'all!
It's a hybrid of Twilight, Death Note and Lady Gaga. But as always, it works for him! The above pictures are the concept photos for Heartbreaker. They are just awesome, for lack of a better word. The ice-y blonde hair, the pale skin, the apple, the red-black-white-blue theme of the MV (see below) and the serious expressions just hit gold. He's breaking hearts of girls (and guys) everywhere with the androgynous look. Within 2 days of release, Heartbreaker sold 30k copies, and I'm pretty sure it was the #1 most-downloaded albums at illegal download sites!
You must check out his Heartbreaker MV! *spazzes*
I've watched this a million times now, and my favorite outfit on him is when he was wearing the vest with the mirror pieces. And being somebody who can't resist anything that's blinged out, I would say that, is sheer awesomeness!
The song is ultra catchy, and the set looks perfect! :D
The marketing/creative/whatever people responsible for the album package came up with a unique idea: using JiYong's own face impression!
I soo want one, but I have no idea where I can buy it from, and I don't want to order it online.. :(
The whole album is bangin'!
And now, I'm gonna leave you with this image that made me think what's really on JiYong oppa's mind:
