One Thing Leads To Another

MSN Live Messenger buat hal, so have to troubleshoot. Finished with it, try la bukak IE7. All these while pakai Firefox je. Saw an 'MSN in Concert' link featuring the boys, which was posted on the website on 26th June. I clicked on it, and...

Whamm! My Backstreet Obsession is back in full force!

They performed at the O2 Arena, London on 14th May to a packed-to-the-brim house. And boy, did they rock the show! The whole concert was 95% similar to what I experienced at Sunway. The song arrangements, the props, the costumes, everything!

*Duhh, of course la Dinie. They call it a 'tour' for a reason. It's so that they can recycle their clothes, and dance the same dance routines, and say the exact same line: "Hello London/Malaysia! We are the Backstreet Boys.. and we would like to thank each and every individual here for coming tonight. Without you, we would not be here right now, 15 years on.." -- or something like that.

But hey, as I said in the 11th March entry, THE BOYS CAN DO NO WRONG!

I laughed out loud when the camera panned to a trio of guys singing (more like shouting, from what I saw) along to 'I'll Never Break Your Heart' into a cell phone, to whom I assumed, were their girlfriends. The same female:male ratio there at the arena, 1:1. Screaming girls/mothers didn't outnumber the other also screaming gender. Equal in number!

Watching the 78-minute concert brings back happy, happy memories (to those who have no idea what I'm talking about, please refer back to my 11th March entry).

1994:

Nicky so cute!

Howie, tingginye seluar? ;p

2007:

Sume dah muke bapak orang dah..

I know I'll love them forever, even when I'm 65 and my grandsons/granddaughters dig Metallica, or Yanni. They are THE boy band of the CENTURY. Period.

*stop smirking, people!*

But, sometimes, I do miss Kevin..

KTBPA!

Counting Down To Zero

Am currently lazy-ing around in the house, waiting for 1 o'clock to come. Woke up at 9am (heaven), having breakfast 'til 10am, slowly munching the mee goreng (no rushing to find the name tag), and now am sitting down typing this entry.

1 hr 50 mins 'til HRH comes home to pick me up

What do I do, what do I do, what do I do to while the hours away? Oh, after finishing with this, I'll go around the house to get a sweater, toilettries, a T-shirt, couple of DVDs, maybe a blankie and a small but fluffy pillow.

1 hr 45 mins 'til HRH comes home to pick me up

What will I have for dinner? By 5pm, there'll only be a few people left in that place! Will the cafe be opened then? What about the mini mart there? Walking to GE and ordering Nasi Goreng Ikan Masin AND Mango Ice Blended at Cozy's across the road is not an option, 'cause I'm on the clock. Well, we'll see how it goes. If HT and KP wanna go, no problem with me! I don't wanna be left alone there at night! I heard scary things happen in that place. Wuuuuuu.

But just to be safe, I guess I'll bring some crackers and 2 or 3 packets of 3-in-1 Milo. Can my tummy stand not having real food stuffed into it for those long hours?

*sigh*

1 hr 37 mins 'til HRH comes home to pick me up

I'm gonna go stuff all those stuff I mentioned before into a backpack. Don't forget the flip-flop, Dinie.

*slaps own forehead, hard*

OHHH, no wonder they always carry a backpack when they come in!

1 hr 37 mins 'til HRH comes home to pick me up

Take a (wild) guess of where I'm going, people.

See y'all on Thursday!

Of Ezora's Joshua And Stupid Digi People

I went from being extremely giddy and tralalalala to extremely angry and pissed off.

This evening, I just realized that that Joshua guy from Ezora was my schoolmate in primary school. Since the first episode of the series, he seemed soo familiar. He was famous back then for having a popular brother who’s a famous actor. Does anybody know Ahmad Idham? Yeah, he’s the brother (Mr. Cinderella, anyone?).
And his kid brother went to school with me. Everybody had a crush on him. So did I. *You should have seen that coming*
He even had a not-so-big role in the Cucur Tepung Cap Adabi advertisement. Cucur tepung cap Adabi, cepat dimasak, sedap dimakan!
He was the kid with the floppy hair in white T-shirt. So cute!
So, you can imagine how excited I was when I suddenly remembered him from my school days. He didn’t change at all, except for being taller! That hair! That face! Sebijik macam abang die!
So, to vent out my uber tralalalala-ness, I called Pika for about half an hour. So, gab gab gab gab. More gabbing, then I hung up.
Then, the message showed my credit balance. Digi users should be familiar with this.
To my utmost shock, Digi said I spent RM12.96 for the 24 minutes and 15 seconds I gabbed my world away. Like,

WHAT THE HELL??

Mind you, Pika is on my Friends & Family list. I should only be spending at most RM3.75, as in 15sen per minute!
I checked the list again. Her number wasn’t there! And I was damn sure her number was the first set I put in! Did the Digi people secretly reset their customers’ Friends & Family lists, deleting some of the numbers? So that they unwillingly will have to pay more than what they’re supposed to when calling/sending a text message? So that the money will go straight into their pockets?
This is ridiculous! I spent extra RM9.21! I could talk for another hour with that!
Yes, I’m calculative like that.

What does ‘Your Tariff Tier has changed’ really mean anyway???

Tinkering

A SOLEMN VOW TO MYSELF

I, DNB, solemnly promise to myself that I will try my best not to change my blogger template anymore after this (unless it's really really really necessary, like after 100 entries).

I won't gatal-gatal go Googling for 'free XML blogger template', and go bonkers downloading all the pretty XML templates I could get my hands, err, pointer on, only later not knowing which to use, and start searching again. Wait a sec. Is that what the rest of the world calls it? Pointer? Arrow? White arrow on the screen? Cursor?

I won't go tweaking the codes without a professional's supervision, lest I don't mind banging my head on the table again - due to the ensuing frustration when I preview it, the current (template) codes go crazy.

I won't spend another 7 hours messing around with the current template in the wee hours of morning, and in the process, sacrificing my very much-needed beauty sleep.

I simply won't.

This will be my one and only template until my 100th entry.
Hopefully.

I really hope I can last that long.

Lucky Number Slevin, eh Seven.

WHO LIKES NUMBER 7?
Random fact: There are 7 spots on a common ladybird.

Random picture: My cousins, Emil and Sofhea, 010608, PastaMania, Pavillion.
Emil nak terkam makanan kakak die (",)

To Zaki, you tagged me the other day (Zainab also tagged me - kind of), so here it is. My Sevens.

7 facts about me:

1- I sometimes have celebrities in my dreams.
Shopping with David Beckham? Check.
Went on a gondola along a canal in Venice with Nick Carter? Check.
Orlando Bloom singing me a song? Check.

I Googled the interpretations of this kind of dreams, and it said that deep down inside I'm yearning for fame and fortune. Who doesn't?

2- Eventhough I started going for piano lessons since I was 8, I still suck at playing it. It takes me forever to play a song perfectly from start to end.

3- I can finish a shower in 5 minutes (if I'm in a hurry) or I can be in there up to an hour (if I have all the time in the world).

4- Sometimes, if there's no greens (veggies) to go with my meal, I'd rather not eat at all.

5- I don't drink Nescafe, coffee, Neslo, macchiatowhatnot, espresso etc. You get the drift right? I don't anything with coffee-like taste in it.

6- I eat my noodles (bihun, mee, Maggi, kuetiau, spaghetti, laksa etc) with spoons. Sometimes, with chopsticks. Never with forks, unless there's no spoons around.

7- I once fantasized that I'd get a blond-haired, blue-eyed boyfriend/husband. I still do, sometimes. Haha.

7 fears of mine:

1- Dying in my sleep. Crushed by the rotating (and wobbling) ceiling fan above.

2- Waking up one day, only to find I'm alone. Kinda like Will Smith in I Am Legend, but without the vampires.

3- Losing my parents before I'm ready. I don't think I'll ever be ready.

4- Contracting a mysterious, unexplainable disease. If I ever had one, I'd be very relieved if there's a real life Gregory House in this world. That guy's a genius!

5- Getting fat.

6- Having to repeat any subject in my course. I don't want to spend more than 4 years in university!

7- Having a pancit/flat tyre on a deserted highway i.e Karak at night time. It's not because I don't know how to change one, it's because I'm sure I'll be so nervous at that time and I'll forget how to go about it!

7 songs of the moment:

1- 'Tyrant' by OneRepublic

2- 'Goodbye, Apathy' by OneRepublic

3- 'All Fall Down' by One Republic

4- 'Mercy' by OneRepublic

5- 'Prodigal' by OneRepublic

6- 'Won't Stop' by OneRepublic

7- 'All We Are' by OneRepublic

7 phrases I use in my daily life:

1- 'Yolah tuu..'

2- 'Mengong tol!'

3- 'WTH???'

4- Err.. I believe that's all.

5- #4 is not a phrase I use all the time.

6- Really. I think that's all.

7- Why are you still reading? I said that's ALL!

7 valuables I treasure:

1- My parents.

2- My siblings.

3- My close friends.

4- My new Casio keyboard.

5- My Compaq Presario V3000.

6- My Nokia L'Amour 7373.

7- My authentic RM1k plus DKNY, my-mom-got-it-as-a-present-from-somebody-but-she-doesn't-like-it-
so-she-gave-it-to-me handbag.

My 7 'first's:

1- First major kiddie crush on a boy: Sa***l Dz******i, Standard 1, 1994

2- First all-out (super-long: 10-year) crush confession to a guy: on MSN Messenger, 12am-6am, sometime in 2004.
The guy is the boy in #1 above.

3- First time ice-skating: with Ben (my kid brother) at Sunway Pyramid, 2007

4- First concert: Westlife, Bukit Jalil, 2001.

5- First overseas holiday (excluding Singapore): Danau Toba, with the family, 1990's.

6- First newspaper interview: 'Adik Dinie gemar membaca', akhbar Didik, 1995.

7- First major (academia) regret: Applying for JPA instead of MARA scholarship.

7 peeps I wanna tag next:

Ahh. Who wants to spend a chunk of their time doing this tag? Consider yourself tagged.

According to the Golden Rule, 'do unto others as you would have others do unto you'.

So, I'm not tagging anybody.

Blabber

Random thought: I hate Leona Lewis and Duffy.

Yes, I do hate them.
I don't know why. I just hate them.
And their hit songs.

'Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love' -- Urghh
'You got me begging for your mercy, yeah yeah yeah' -- Another Winehouse? NOOOOO!

Buruk bagai layout nih. Haii. I'll spruce it up later when I am inspired, later. Way later.

Oh, to the very thoughtful tagger, I'm still digging deep into my rusty brain to find out what are my fears. I know I have some, but I can't seem to put them into words.

I'm hopeless like that.

No Longer Smitten

DON'T PLAY PLAY.

Today is a bad day for me.

Since 9am, I've felt like strangling people who were cheerful and all-smiley at the lab.
Like, putting my hands around their necks and squeeze hard 'til the faces turn blue.
And then I'd cut off their heads from the bodies, and toss the heads to the hungry sharks in the ocean.
The bodies I'd cut up into hundreds of pieces each.

Or, I'd somehow find myself a big-ass SUV/truck and ram them sick.
Preferably with their hands and legs helplessly tightly tied with a rope, and they're placed against a wall. A white wall.
So that I can see the blood splattered all over it. And the brains and the guts.

Feeling lonely also doesn't do me any good at this time.
Feeling so alone (and angry), you can easily cry.

Have you ever felt that way?

In this state of being, it doesn't matter if you throw at me any cute random guys, I can bite their heads off.
I won't melt so easily as I usually do.
This includes a grown-up Bukhari from an alternate universe.
F*ck off all Bukharis of the world.

p/s: To all those people who wants to see how he looks like, he isn't all that. I was blinded by his height. He is a typical teenager. Urghh. WHAT WAS I THINKING???

I know I know, I ain't all that either, but hey, this is my blog, I can say whatever I like!
